Princess of Wales tells royal fan who misses hair appointment her hair looks 'wonderful'

The Princess of Wales showed her natural rapport with members of the public when she told a well-wisher her “hair looked wonderful” after the woman revealed she had missed an appointment to greet the royals.

The interaction was filmed by a member of the crowd as Kate greeted well-wishers, and one woman could be heard telling the future Queen, “I missed my hair date.”

Apologizing, Kate told the woman, ‘Oh, sorry, it looks wonderful anyway.’

Kate, 40, dazzling in a camel midi dress and matching £460 Max&Co coat, complete with a £295 DeMellier London handbag and £60 Boden woven belt, was all smiles as the man eagerly drew his attention before asking for a photograph.

Meeting the gentleman in the eye and striking up a conversation with him, the mother-of-three put her arm around him before smiling at the camera, also posing for photos with other royal fans throughout the day, including a sweet little boy with a pink Minnie Mouse coat.

According to the Royal Family website, there are “no mandatory codes of conduct” when meeting a member of the Royal Family, but there is an unwritten rule that you shouldn’t go beyond a handshake. However, the younger generation of royals have often shown that they are more open to sharing a hug and a selfie with well-wishers.

The Princess of Wales stepped out with her husband, Prince William, as they visited the resort town to launch funds to support young people’s mental health, in a collaboration spearheaded by the Royal Foundation.

Kate and Prince William, 40, dressed in a burgundy sweater and blue shirt under a navy jacket, visited The Street, a community center that houses organizations to grow and develop their services, where they met with the panel of area youth grants that will distribute the funds to local projects.

The duo were greeted by a cheering crowd as they began their day at the North Yorkshire resort to collaborate with local organizations that will benefit from funds created from a partnership between the Prince and Princess of Wales Royal Foundation and Two ridings. Community Foundation.

William and Kate began by meeting with the youth grant panel who had decided how the money should be allocated. They will also see firsthand how community organizations come together to help those struggling with rising costs of living.

The Royal Foundation and the Two Ridings Community Foundation have appealed to local donors for funds to support the work of community-led organizations working with young people in the Scarborough area.

The youth on the panel have been supported by local community organizations and the meeting is an opportunity to understand how grant decisions were made and learn more about how this funding will make a difference for youth in Scarborough.

Kate and William will then meet three local charities that are recipients of the funding and see first-hand some of the work they are doing to make a difference in their community, as well as the benefit of localized funding.

The couple’s second visit of the day was to the Rainbow Centre, an organization that provides an open door to the Scarborough community and help and support to anyone in need.

The Prince and Princess heard from the center’s volunteers and staff how they create holistic support for service users, helping to build strong communities that support people both practically and emotionally.

During the visit, the couple learned about the work The Rainbow Center has been doing to help people cope with the rising cost of living through services like food and clothing banks, as well as offering a place to shower and laundry.

The Prince and Princess also met with users of the service to hear first-hand how the center has impacted their lives.
