Former NHL All-Star and ex-fiancé of Lindsey Vonn, PK Subban, has announced his retirement after a glittering hockey career spanning 13 seasons.
Subban, previously engaged to the Olympic skier between August 2019 and December 2020, was a three-time All-Star in 2013, 2015 and 2017.
Subban announced via Instagram Tuesday morning that he was retiring from the NHL, writing, “I remember my dreams of playing in the NHL and winning a Stanley Cup, similar to the guys in the Don Cherry Rock ’em Sock tapes.” em at the end of each volume, with black eyes, broken bones, and tears of joy.
‘To this day, I still dream about it. However, the end of this chapter is closing and after 13 years in the NHL, I have made the decision to retire.’
Subban and Vonn first went public in June 2018 after attending the CMT Music Awards in Nashville.

After their breakup, Vonn took to Instagram to explain the decision. “Over the last 3 years, PK and I have had an amazing time together,” he wrote at the time, via TMZ. He is a kind, good man and someone he respects a lot.
‘However, after much consideration, we have decided to proceed separately. We will always be friends and love each other immensely. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time.
On Tuesday, Subban’s retirement statement continued: “I never looked at myself or felt like I was ‘just a hockey player’. I always saw myself as a person who casually played hockey.
“Having that perspective allowed me to enjoy every turn like it was my last, celebrate every goal with excitement and play every game like someone was paying to see me play and had never seen me play before.
Subban and Vonn were often seen enjoying various tennis Grand Slams around the world.

Subban, who was recently a free agent before retiring, was seen at the US Open last month when Serena Williams collided with Ajla Tomljanovic.
The 33-year-old also won the Norris Trophy in 2013, an award given to the best defenseman in the NHL.
