It doesn’t get better the more you look at it.
New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones caught Jaquan Brisker right where it hurts during the game against the Chicago Bears on Monday night and many NFL fans on social media complained.
Jones went to the ground with the ball but raised his right leg toward Brisker as he approached him. But when Brisker reacted and moved to pounce on Jones, the QB put his foot up … and caught Brisker in the stomach. Jones was also not penalized for it.

As Brisker lay sprawled on the grass, fans were quick to call Jones out for what they perceived to be a cheap shot.
“Mac Jones should be banned for life,” one angry fan wrote on Twitter.
Another, more humorous take read: ‘Protect your jewelry at all costs lest Mac Jones karate kick you as you slide.’
A different fan wanted answers from the NFL, saying: ‘@NFL how come there isn’t a penalty for Mac Jones for kicking the defender in the nuts? I have to protect the players on both sides.

When Brisker managed to get back on the field, he got an interception on a pitch from Jones and soon after, Jones was retired.
The game against the Bears was his first back because of an ankle injury, but the Patriots were down 10-0 at the time.
With Jones off the court, they fared a little better and his replacement, Bailey Zappe, led them to two touchdowns in four minutes.
