French designer Victor Weinsanto caused a stir at Paris Fashion Week with some very daring designs on display.

The annual fashion event, which kicked off yesterday, featured a runway show for the 28-year-old designer’s new collection,

Weinsanto kicked off Spring/Summer 2023 womenswear with her show, which featured holograms of K-Pop superstars Lightsum.

The designer, protégé of iconic fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, launched his brand in 2020.

Weinsanto’s adventurous designs were inspired by other young designers as a “declaration of love” to his generation.

Newly dressed with bright orange hair, the designer said people were looking for “creativity, freedom, craziness and humor” in their outfits right now.

The designer’s clothing was bold and extravagant, with some featuring a huge feathered hat, gigantic tulle and a large fuchsia pink and red heart and floral design.

Other ensembles in the collection were edgy, however, as the former ballet dancer-turned-fashion designer mixed near-sheer bodysuits, cut-out minidresses worn with towering capes, and even bodysuits that went over corsets.

The most scandalous thing on the catwalk was an outfit that consisted of several rows of braided hair on transparent fabric, which were knotted around the model’s body.

Like many of his generation, there is a focus on sustainability, with almost all of his designs made with surplus from other brands, and inclusivity.
