Solo, 41, was arrested March 31 after being discovered in her car in a Walmart parking lot in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her two-year-old twins, Lozen and Vittorio, were in the back seat of the car and the engine was still running.

The former USWNT goalie was later convicted and given a 30-day prison sentence, which she did not have to serve due to the month she spent in rehab after the incident.

Video from that night, released today by Queen City News, shows a police officer banging on the driver’s window of the car before a shocked Solo replies “Oh my God.”

He is asked: “Hello, can you open the door for me? Are you okay? People were a little concerned that you guys were sleeping here and wanted to make sure you were okay. She only states that she stopped to “take a nap”.

Asked how much she had drunk, the World Cup winner and two-time Olympic gold medalist said: “It’s okay if I…” before trailing off. She later answers the same question “I haven’t had” and “I’m perfectly fine, thank you sir”, and she adds that she has had “zero alcohol” as she scrolls through her phone.

“I was just trying to take a nap because I’m so tired of driving. Yeah, I mean, I stopped in a Walmart parking lot to take a nap. I have no idea why he’s here, but wait,” Solo says in a phone call.

She is later carried out of the car, as her two-year-old twins cry in the back seats, after suggesting that she not take field sobriety tests.

Solo is later handcuffed after continuing to tell the officers that she was simply napping and refusing to submit to tests.

According to an arrest warrant for the March incident, a bystander noticed Solo passed out behind the wheel for more than an hour with the vehicle’s engine running and the two children in the back seat.

A responding officer could smell the alcohol, and the warrant said Solo refused a field sobriety test.

Solo, who is widely considered one of the greatest goalkeepers in history, lives with the NFL star’s ex-husband, Jerramy Stevens, and twins Vittorio Genghis and Lozen Orianna Judith Stevens, in the town of Roaring Gap.

Following the March incident, the former football star decided to postpone his Hall of Fame induction ceremony, writing, “I have contacted the Hall of Fame and respectfully request a postponement of my Hall of Fame induction ceremony until 2023”.

‘I will voluntarily enter an inpatient alcohol treatment program to address my challenges with alcohol.’
