Buddy Franklin's wife Jesinta looks downcast after the Sydney Swans crushing AFL Grand Final loss

Buddy Franklin’s wife, Jesinta, looks dejected after returning to Sydney following the Swans’ crushing defeat in the AFL Grand Final.

Buddy Franklin and his beloved Sydney Swans suffered a huge loss to the Geelong Cat during Saturday’s one-sided AFL Grand Final.

And the soccer star’s wife, Jesinta, seemed despondent when she returned to Sydney on Monday after the crushing defeat.

The 31-year-old model was seen taking several packages out of her mailbox when she arrived home wearing a long-sleeved black turtleneck over a pair of boyfriend jeans.

She accessorized with her engagement ring and a pair of black sunglasses to hide her face, sporting vibrant red nail polish to contrast the look.

Without a hint of makeup, the brunette beauty pulled her hair up into a windswept bun.

It comes after she shared a sweet tribute to her husband Buddy, 35, on the Sunday after the Sydney Swans loss.

Posting on Instagram, Jesinta shared several photos of herself posing with the couple’s two-year-old daughter, Tullulah, who was wearing her famous father’s number 23 jersey.

“Thank you all for all your beautiful messages of support over the last week,” she wrote.

“It is not the result that we all had dreamed of, however, it is not lost on me how special (and difficult) it was to have reached this point. Win, lose or draw, we are always so proud of you @buddy_franklin23.

“I love our @sydneyswans family and fans, we feel so lucky to be on this journey with such a great group of people, it’s what makes it all worth it.”

The Cats scored the first two goals of the game and seven of the first eight to bury the Swans long before the siren sounded in the premiership decider at the MCG.

The final margin of 81 points equaled the fifth-highest in VFL/AFL history and was Sydney’s worst loss since 2015.

The Franklins, who married in 2016, are one of the most famous couples in the AFL.

Jesinta, a former Miss Universe Australia turned fashion influencer, recently qualified as an accredited AFL player agent, while Buddy shocked the soccer world last week by signing a one-year contract extension for the 2023 season.
