Why Vacuum Packing Is Popular In The Food Industry

Vacuum packing involves the removal of air from the interior of a package immediately prior to sealing the package. But the crucial question is to what is the benefit of removal of air while packaging food items. Air is one of the greatest enemies for almost all types of food products. Lack of air prevents mold and bacteria growth thus increasing the shelf life of food products.
