Alex Pereira, who is a fierce rival to Adesanya, is currently training for the matchup and posted a video of himself on social media sparring on a hoverboard and daring his opponent to try the same.

The caption read: ‘Training with an easy tennis ball is easy!’ Pereira wrote. “I want to see him train boxing on top of a hoverboard.”

The video was posted in response to a clip Adesanya had posted on his YouTube channel days earlier, in which he dodged tennis balls to improve his reaction time.

There is no love lost between the two middleweights who have met twice in kickboxing, with Pereira emerging victorious both times. In fact, the Brazilian is the only man to knock out Adesanya.

And, as good as Adesanya may have looked during his reign as the king of the middleweights, Pereira is arguably a superior striker and has been finishing off opponents in spectacular fashion as he climbed the ranks.

‘The Last Stylebender’ has declared his rival the ‘most overrated fighter in the UFC’ and believes he will make beating him ‘look easy’ when he faces him in November.

The Brazilian fighter is also not impressed with Adesanya.

“Of course, he would never support me, but what he thinks or doesn’t think doesn’t change anything for me,” Pereira said. ‘You have to ask him if he was impressed when I knocked him out. He wasn’t impressed?

Pereira is coming off a win over American Sean Strickland in July at UFC 276. The former two-division kickboxing champion earned a first-round finish over Strickland, knocking him out with a powerful left hook.

MMA fans have had a field day on social media with Pereira’s latest training routine on a hoverboard.

“I think he really got into MMA just to troll Izzy,” one Twitter user posted.

‘What did Izzy do to make Alex so mad? Why does he always have to beat Izzy at everything? another said

‘This man is clowning! I love watching him! a third replied.

“I’m going to go with Alex Pereira, because I’m going to make it look easy,” Adesanya said.

‘Yeah, right now just enjoy the build-up fights, enjoy the build-up wins, you know? Yes, that is overrated.
