The Tulsa County District Attorney in Oklahoma has been stabbed to death in his own home by his daughter.

Steve Kunzweiler, 60, the father of three daughters, Jackie, Jenny and Sandra, was attacked around 3 p.m.

Police said his daughter had “a mental condition,” KTUL reported, but did not provide details or say which of his daughters attacked him.

She was initially described as “an adult member of the family”. Her eldest daughter is 32 years old.

He was awake and talking when he was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Kunzweiler has been a district attorney since 2015.

Authorities were called to a 'domestic dispute' on Tuesday around 3 p.m.

“Relevant law enforcement authorities” are currently conducting investigations, his office said in the statement.
