The Block ‘villain’ Sharon Johal launched an extraordinary attack on Channel Nine’s renewal show on Friday, revealing that her family felt hurt by her ‘unfair’ editing.

The former Neighbors actress, 34, revealed that she and her husband Ankur Dogra were not ready for her ‘soap opera-like’ performance.

It’s really unfair. My family and friends are really disappointed with the edition. They say, “It doesn’t show who you are,” he told SAFM’s Bec, Cosi and Lehmo.

Radio hosts disputed the idea that her on-screen portrayal was inaccurate, noting moments in the show where she was seen badmouthing their traditions.

“I walked 100 percent from one soap opera to another,” he said, referring to his stint on Neighbors in 2021 before joining The Block.

Sharon and Ankur faced backlash last month when they were accused of cheating. She responded by deleting her Instagram account.

At the time, the Melbourne-based couple created controversy by using Google to win $50,000 worth of prizes during a wine-making challenge.

Hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft later questioned the couple, but Ankur refused to admit any wrongdoing despite overwhelming evidence against him.

With casting for The Block 2023 now open, the pair recently said potential Blockheads with no renovation experience should stay away.

“I think a lot about obviously going there. It’s great to be a traditional, but if you’re not, it’s hard work,” Ankur told Daily Mail Australia.

Sharon added: “Make sure you have a really good support network behind you and think twice before opening up to the whole of Australia on national TV four times a week for three months.”
