Original Skins cast members Nicholas Hoult, Kaya Scodelario, Joe Dempsie and Larissa Wilson met over lunch this month, and the reunion came 15 years after the first series aired.
The controversial teen drama ran from 2007 to 2013 and followed the lives of a group of Bristol teenagers, tackling topics like mental illness, eating disorders, and substance abuse.
And in an image that evoked some nostalgia for the series for fans, the stars of the first generation could be seen smiling at the camera as they stood in the sun, proving that their friendship is as strong as it was all those years ago.

Kaya, 30, who played Effie Stonem, could be seen smiling towards the front of the shot as she sat next to Nicholas, 32, who played her older brother, Tony.
Facing them were Larissa, 33, who played Jal Frazer and Joe, 35, best known for playing Chris Miles.
Larissa, who was joined by her daughter on the lunch date, also uploaded a separate photo of Kaya and Joe, with whom she lived for several years.

It comes after Kaya called the hit show Euphoria ‘crazy’, before recalling her own role in the E4 series Skins.
The actress took to TikTok last month, where she expressed her shock at the characters’ antics, with the HBO show focusing on 17-year-old high school students in the midst of their struggles with drugs, sex and trauma.

However, Kaya was quick to recall her own role as teenager Effy Stonem in Skins, which was filmed when she was just 14 years old.
Recording herself staring into the camera with wide eyes, Kaya uttered words that read, “Watching Euphoria for the first time thinking this is crazy for 17-year-olds and then remembering what I was doing on TV to 17-year-olds.” 14″.
Euphoria began in 2019 and stars Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney, and recently Zendaya was forced to defend the show after it was accused of “glorifying” teen drug use.

Responding to a fan who asked if the show affected her mindset at that age, she replied: ‘Yes. It was a beautiful moment, but also the root cause of many of my problems now. Still, she gave me the opportunity to do the work I loved.’
Kaya’s fans responded quickly to her video, with many comparing the two shows and commenting that Skins paved the way for Euphoria.
