Nepali girl Baiabu Rai started her job as a software engineer at Facebook headquarters

Nepali girl Bai Abu Rai has joined the headquarters of social network Facebook as a senior software engineer.

Rai, 29, of Rautamai Gaonpalika-2, Salthumka, Udayapur, has entered the Facebook headquarters in Silicon Valley as an employee.

Facebook pays 183,272 a year to a senior software engineer. She started her education from Laligurans Awasiya School in Gaighat, Udaipur and got her SLC from Budhanilkantha School in Kathmandu.

Soon she was studying at a prestigious British college on a scholarship. She graduated with a degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States.

From June to August 2011, she also had experience as an Explorer intern at Microsoft. Mother Shant Rai and father Member Rai have expressed happiness after their daughter started working on Facebook.
