Love Island’s Katie Salmon has revealed her battle with postpartum depression.
In a new interview, the 26-year-old reality star said she has been struggling in recent months after the birth of her six-month-old daughter Thaiga.
Katie, who has also denied claims that she has permanently split from fiancé Harry, also revealed that along with her struggles, her daughter was recently diagnosed with a hemangioma tumor.

Katie told The Sun on Friday: “The truth is that I have been dealing with severe baby blues and I can only say that being a mother has been one of the most difficult challenges I have ever had to face in my life.”
Katie said her mental health has deteriorated so much in recent months that she has “anxiety” about leaving the house.
Speaking about her daughter’s tumor, Katie said it has grown to the size of a “fist” but is undergoing medical treatment and will most likely be gone by her first birthday.

She also revealed that she and Harry are still together, but are taking a little break to focus on her mental health.
“Our relationship is not perfect, but please be kind because we’ve been through a lot,” Katie added.
She then praised her fiancé, saying that as a family “they’ll pull through,” and that the couple is determined to put their daughter first.

Reports emerged earlier this week that Katie had split from her fiancé Harry just six months after the birth of their first child.
The Love Island star, who rose to fame during the show’s second season in 2016 and made history as one half of the show’s first same-sex couple with the late Sophie Gradon, shocked her Instagram followers by deleting all the Harry’s photos.
The new mom took to her social media to declare that she had “settled for much less” than she deserved.
Katie, who got engaged to Harry last December, deleted snaps from the couple’s gender reveal party before the birth of their daughter Thaiga, as well as a gushing tribute to her ex-boyfriend on his birthday.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she cryptically wrote: ‘Everything has changed for me since I had my little girl. It has been one of the hardest and most beautiful trips’.
‘I didn’t know I had it in me to go through everything I have this year. women are superheroes idgaf [I don’t give a f***] The reward is your precious smile and health.’
She continued in the lengthy post: “I have settled for far less than I deserve from so many people because I never really respected who I was or what my worth was.”
‘My loyalty, love and energy are incomparable. The change has been intense but so revealing. I had to mourn someone who once was and allow the new me to come in.’
‘If you can’t respect my growth, then you don’t deserve to be at our table. The changes ahead for me are exciting, so if you’re struggling with how painful it is, he’s really here to help you evolve. [sic].
She later posted, “I love seeing people bounce back from tough situations to end up with the success, love, and happiness they deserve.”

Katie previously shared a slew of snaps on Instagram to announce her daughter’s birth, including one of her little girl and birth photos, where she sported tiger-striped nails as a tribute to her newborn’s unique name.
At the bottom of the heartwarming images, she wrote that she had been trapped in her baby bubble, but had decided to announce the news on Mother’s Day.
Katie wrote: ‘I’m officially a mum! I had some time off in my baby bubble, but I thought today would be the best day to let you all know.
‘We welcomed our beautiful girl into this magical world. Thaiga Dean (pronounced Tiger).
“I never thought I could feel this way, I’m completely in love and I thought I had everything in life until she came along. My life is complete.’
She also thanked NHS staff for their help, Harry for being her ‘rock’ and friends and family for their support along the way.
