England captain Harry Kane was left with a bloody mouth after a clash with Italy’s Rafael Toloi during their Nations League match on Friday.

Kane, 29, collided with the Atalanta defender as he headed in from a second-half corner seven minutes after the restart.

Doctors quickly came to Kane’s aid as he appeared to be in a lot of pain.

However, after the usual medical checks to ensure it wasn’t a more serious injury, the Tottenham man was able to continue his participation in the game – a crucial element in England’s Nations League campaign in a bid to to avoid relegation.

England lost the game 1–0 through Giacomo Raspadori’s goal in the 68th minute.
