4 October, Kathmandu. Five of the tourists and Nepali helpers who were trapped during my ascent have been rescued and brought to Kathmandu.
According to Santabir Lama, president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association, four foreign climbers and a Nepali guide were rescued and brought to Kathmandu. He is currently undergoing treatment at Grandi Hospital in Kathmandu.
A rescue team was deployed to search for a member of the Gurkha Events Organizer who was stopped on the way due to bad weather and heavy snowfall. After the team brought them safely to Lukla on foot, they were rescued by air and brought to Kathmandu. However, Cheten Sherpa of the same team has been missing for the last three days. Lama said his search was still ongoing. According to the association, an experienced team including Nuru Sherpa and Kami Sherpa are still searching for him.
