A Friday night football game in Southern California was interrupted by a teenager running across the field with a banner with a crude message, only to be punched by an adult man.
The game, which was played by the teams from Kennedy High School in La Palma and Katella High School in Anaheim, was briefly interrupted by a young man walking across the field with a flag that read ‘Me como un**’, misleadingly written with numbers and symbols.
As the teen made his way to the end of the field, an adult male, believed to be an employee, possibly a coach, of the Katella High School team, runs after the boy and grabs him as he is about to clean up. he runs over the wall past the end zone and hits it into the grass.
The man can be seen placing his knee on the boy’s neck as Katella’s team erupts in cheers.

A man thought to be a high school football coach aggressively tackled a teenage boy who was running across the field with a crude message on a flag.

As members of Katella’s team could be heard cheering, audience members gasped audibly and condemnations of the coach’s actions could be heard echoing throughout the stadium.

The incident occurred Friday night during a home game between the Katella High School of Anaheim soccer team and the Kennedy High School of La Palma soccer team.

The teen with the flag was chased by Katella’s coach (far right) for brandishing a flag with a crude message and running across the field during a Friday night game.

The teen almost got away cleanly by jumping the wall in the end zone, but the man was able to grab and knock the perpetrator to the ground.
Michele Schow, who provided initial footage of the KTLA incident, said the entrance prompted a collective gasp from the audience and audible condemnation from some of the game attendees.
“The excessive force in the body blow was unnecessary, witnessed by all families, school staff and students,” he told the outlet.
Commenters on the House of Highlights Instagram account, which also posted a video of the shocking entrance, seem to generally agree with Schow.
‘Man, you must have some real trouble running over a kid who was playing a harmless prank and hit him. What an idiot,’ one user wrote.
Others predicted the imminent dismissal and possible criminal charges of the tackler.
“It’s a wrap for the coach,” one viewer wrote.
‘He was definitely fired and locked up,’ wrote another.
He should be arrested for assault and battery, endangering the welfare of a child, and anything else the prosecution can think of. There is no excuse for this. I’m fine with him grabbing the boy and holding him until the police can take him into custody, but the further violence is completely unnecessary and totally unnecessary,” a third wrote.
The game was played at the Katella team’s home stadium in Anaheim, California. The game ended in a 39-0 loss for Katella.
