African woman sets world record for giving birth to 10 children

Pretoria. A South African woman has set a world record by giving birth to 10 children at a time.

According to the BBC, Gosiyami Thamara has given birth to seven sons and three daughters. “I am just happy, very emotional. “I can’t talk much,” the woman’s husband, Tebeho Sotetsi, told the Pretoria News Agency on Monday night after his wife gave birth.

The 37-year-old woman had previously given birth to twins and is now six years old.

The woman said that she was healthy after giving birth by caesarean section. Guinness World Records says it is investigating Gosiyami’s case.

The world record for a woman who gave birth to eight children at one time in Morocco is still there.
